About us

Hi! Im Louise!

Im the founder of Costume Buyers Club. Ive been in the industry as a dance school owner for over 25 years. In that time I have been blessed to have a thriving studio business and be able to learn from the top mentors in the coaching space….. and Ive also been the studio owner who stayed up at night wondering how to pay the bills.

We’ve all been there.

In the course of my training I learned a lot about buying good quality costumes from overseas and made many valuable connections with factories, teamed up with buying agents and quality control specialists and I always had the notion that id love to share that knowledge with studio owners and build a community where we band together to use collective buying power to save on costumes REGARDLESS of your studio size.

Recent global market shifts mean buying from our US costume companies will most probably soon be out of reach- which means the time is NOW to explore new ways to buy smart- keeping the costs as low as possible for our dance families but STILL being able to build in a profit margin on our costumes (yes your costumes SHOULD be a profit centre in your studio and you DESERVE to be remunerated for your time choosing, sizing and fitting your costumes).

Read on to see how together we can drastically reduce the price of costumes and put money BACK in your pocket as a studio owner.

We got this!

Costume Buyers Club is The Costco Of Dance Costumes

Heres how it works.

Due to steep shipping costs & now extreme tariffs placed on goods imported from China to the US its fair to say that buying costumes from the US will be cost prohibitive for many studios across the world. Buying direct from the supplier can be daunting. Language barriers, hit & miss production quality & minimum order requirements to name a few. That is where we come in- & apply the Costco principle to costume purchasing!

So what is the Costco principal?

Costco works on a membership basis & then buys items in bulk. The more you buy- the cheaper the cost per unit & that is passed on to the consumer. If studios work together under one umbrella we can collectively drive down the cost per unit of dance costumes which keeps the price affordable for our studio families but also allows a profit margin to be charged for the long hours of organizing sizing & fitting costumes that we all do as studio owners!
