THE PROCESS

  • Step 1

    • Sign up for a membership account.
    • You have the option of purchasing your yearly membership up front or per quarter- whatever works best for your budget.
    • Please note memberships are for 12 months and will automatically roll over each year unless you advise us otherwise.
    • You will automatically be sent your unique login details.
    • You'll also be sent your costume sizing calculator that you can start using straight away!
    • In addition you’ll receive your PDF guide on maximizing concert revenue in a way that benefits your dance families but also puts money in your pocket to be comfortable in the summer.
  • Step 2

    • Browse the site and choose your costumes.
      There will be a FIRM order by date.
    • Ensure you have placed your order before the ordering deadline.
    • As a Costume Buyers club member you use your Member code at check out to ONLY pay 50% of the highest price at check out to reserve your order.
  • Step 3

    • After the ordering deadline for your chosen window- we tally up the numbers and adjust your invoice for the balance accordingly.
    • We will send you the balance owing with volume adjustments applied and your domestic shipping charge added.
    • You will have 14 days after the ordering deadline to pay the balance.
  • Step 4

    • All orders are sent for production.
    • You will get text updates along the way advising when production has commenced, finished, has shipped internationally and has reached our warehouse.
    • If there are any questions from the supplier we will contact you directly for any clarification needed.
    • This process is generally 4-5 weeks.
  • Step 5

    • Your order will be packed and sent via domestic courier within 5 days of receipt from our international logistics company.
    • We combine all of your selections from different suppliers into one shipment (unless there is an unanticipated delay from one supplier in which case we will send the bulk and chase the rouge order- this is unlikely but its good to have contingencies!)
  • Step 6

We deliberately keep our ordering windows to a minimum as to maximise the numbers in each window- therefore maximising the discounting potential.

Refunds or returns

Our role at Costume Buyers Club is to act as the bridge between studio owners and suppliers while harnessing the power of high volume along the way.

While we believe our quality checks and negotiation work will deliver you the highest possible quality for the lowest possible price- we are not a retail store, do not carry stock and as such will not be personally responsible for refunds or returns.

We WILL however liase with the manufacturer on your behalf for the best outcome and negotiate returns or refunds.

What if I miss the payment deadline?

We have clearly laid out the timeline for deposits and payments in our schedule.

You'll also get email and text reminders. Regrettably if you miss the deadline for payment your order will not be placed with the supplier.

You will have the choice of having your deposit refunded or transferring over to another ordering window.

I Forgot a Costume! What should I do?

It happens!

Should you identify your need for an additional costume within the production period in most cases it can be added to your order without delays or extra cost.

Should you need a costume last minute- in most cases our suppliers keep a small amount of their designs ready to ship.

We will certainly chase this for you.

It should be noted that a one-off costume order will incur a higher cost per unit and an express shipping fee.

How do I know exactly how many costumes were legitimately ordered?

We are all about transparency and helping EVERYONE win.

We will be sending a de-identified order tally DIRECTLY from our commerce software to all of our club members that will be attached to your balance invoice after the ordering window is closed.

If Im a Contributor or Enterprise Member- can i duplicate a design I see in another companies costume catalogue?

It depends. Some companies copyright their material or design.

If this is the case the manufacturers will be unable to use specific fabrics or exact designs outside of their contract with that certain costume company.

It can certainly be used for inspiration though!

We want everyone to thrive.

Ive ordered from OS suppliers before and the quality was terrible! How can i be assured the quality will be acceptable?

There is certainly a “Wish” side to ordering from OS via Ali Express or Ali Baba as an example.

These costumes are generally priced under $20 but are usually made from cheap fabric and for example may only have 1-2 layers of tulle in a skirt making it look flimsy.

All of the suppliers used for CBC have been tested for quality and timely delivery previously.

They also manufacture for large costume companies as well as ourselves.

We will not upload costumes to our site we have not personally touched, tested and put on a body.

Before offering anything from a new supplier we apply a stringent quality check.

In most cases- you get what you pay for. CBC has mid range and high end options in our collections.

Im Outside of Australia- Do You Ship Internationally?

Sure! The game has certainly changed with tariffs, high shipping prices and economic instability.

You can certainly join the Costume Buyers Club if your outside of Australia and for convenience our website is optimized to convert currency to your location making it super easy to compare pricing.

It should be noted that you will incur international shipping charges from Australia to your country and any tariffs or import taxes that may be relevant. (eg- the US currently has a 10% tariff on goods coming into the US from Australia).
